Blackjack Introduction

The object of Blackjack is to come as close to 21 as possible without going over. You get your total by adding the values of the cards you're dealt. In the first round you receive two cards from the dealer, after that you get them one by one. Before each round you decide if you want to take another card (Hit) or not (Stand). If your total value is closer to 21 than the dealer's total value, you win. If the dealer's total value is closer to 21 than your total value, you lose. If you and the dealer have the same total value it's a push. If you get a value over 21 you go bust and lose.

Card values in Blackjack:
2-9 have face value. 10, J, Q and K, are all worth 10 points. A is worth either 1 point or 11 points (it's up to the player to decide).

The best possible hand in online Blackjack as well as in live games is to get dealt an Ace and a 10 point card right away. This is called a Blackjack or a natural 21.

Special plays
Splitting - when you're dealt a pair you can split it and continue play with two hands. Doubling down - when you're sure you will win you can double your original bet. Insurance - when you think the dealer's got a Blackjack you can protect yourself with this type of bet.

Rules may differ
Keep in mind that Blackjack rules often differ slightly from casino to casino. The basics are always the same, but some special plays that are available at Golden Palace Casino might not be allowed at Inter Casino. Make sure to always check the rules carefully before you start playing.
